in the book. I have been pouring over this book in anticipation of the Zakka 2.0 Sewalong, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

How crazy is it that I sew all the time and don't have a favorite sewing book? I love them all. The styles and patterns emerging from Japan absolutely intrigue me. I've heard lots of good things about Ayumi Takahashi's projects. Thanks for the giveaway!

I love The Gentle Art of Quiltmaking by Jane Brocket. She just writes beautifully and the quilts are awesome. Gorgeous book!

Besides Patchwork, Please, one of my current fav books is Quilting Modern, though I'm really excited about Tula Pink's City Quilt project - hope to dabble with that sew along too.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, I love books! Denyse Schmidt Quilts inspired me to start quilting. I love Elizabeth Hartman's books and Angela Walter's. Little Things to Sew is fun and practical. I'm also working through Sewing for Boys, which is great.

ReplyDeleteWhen I hadn't been quilting very long I got the book "Patchwork Persuasion" by Joen Wolfrom. I doubt that I've ever made any projects from the book but it really opened my eyes to the endless possibilities in quilting. This was all new and very exciting to me at the time. I still have that excitement. And the book.

ReplyDeleteI wish I had a more original opinion -- but Sunday Morning Quilts is also my favorite quilting book right now. I also just bought "Shrink, Shrank, Shrunk" -- it has beautiful shrink plastic patterns that I plan to add to my sewing projects (zipper pulls??).

ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite sewing book, usually it's more like "favorite sewing projects". I've seen some of the zakka books, and I need something besides the cute zipper pencil pouches! Though I've used some of the finished projects as inspiration for some of my own creative endeavors :)
